Alok Verma is a seasoned international telecoms executive with over 30 years of rich and diverse experience across Asia, Africa, and the GCC, bringing deep commercial expertise in digital transformation, sales and distribution excellence, customer value management, and brand leadership across complex, emerging markets.
Prior to joining Ooredoo Oman, Alok served as Senior Director, Group Consumer Business at Ooredoo Group, where he oversaw commercial performance management across the Group's operating company portfolio. Earlier, as Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Myanmar, where he also served as Acting CEO, he led a comprehensive digital transformation spanning the consumer business, internal teams, and the partner ecosystem in a highly competitive market. He has also held Business Head roles equivalent to CEO at Vodafone India, served as Chief Commercial Officer of Bharti Airtel Zambia, and held leadership positions across Airtel Africa and India.
Alok holds a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat. He is a graduate of the Ooredoo-Harvard Business Publishing Leadership Development Programme and has completed a Post-Graduate Programme in AI for Business Leaders from the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin.
